What a beautiful morning! I slept wonderfully last night! And all thanks to my husband moving our boxspring and mattress to the floor off that terrible bed frame (read why my bed frame is the culprit). I didn’t realize how much of an impact a mattress could really make on a body.

I’m still sick with a stomach bug. I was hoping to be better today, but I was not. My stomach is still achy, and food makes me ill despite my stomach growling for food every thirty minutes.
My dad and older sister brought my youngest daughter home after a three day visit with my mom. My dad finished his radiation and chemo therapy sessions, but he’s still fighting to get well again. His speech is limited seeing how his throat and neck area is the target of the harsh treatments.
I’ve never seen my dad so quiet, and with so little energy. He’s always moving around, talking, joking, and laughing about something, anything. To see him silently sit in pain is heartbreaking. Please pray for his healing and comfort during his recovery. If prayer is not what you do, then please send him warm, positive thoughts his way. Thank you.
The rest of the day was quiet. Each day I eagerly await for the kids to return home to tell me something exciting about their days or for me to show them the special find I may have found for each of them. They tell me how much they love to come home, and how much they miss it. My kids make my heart smile.
Aside from a headache and stomach bug, the day has been mild. All of my aches and pains take a back seat to this stomach bug. I hope to be well tomorrow, and have a good night’s sleep tonight.
